Registration for Fall 2010

Registration for new students began Tuesday March 2 at 12:01 am. Placement is on a first-come, first-placed basis until classes are filled.

Please complete the following steps to register your child:

1) Follow the link to http://www.somer.acadnet.ca/cs/

2) Download the files Handbook.pdf and Placement.doc  Please take a moment to read through the handbook to learn more about our parent-run preschool. You can also download the PAD agreement if you wish to pay your preschool fees through direct deposit.

3) Complete the Registration Placement form (Placement.doc) and email it to Christine our Registrar at gcns.registrar@gmail.com  This emailed form will secure your place in line for registration. Christine will send you an email indicating your registration status once these forms have been processed.

4) Complete the registration form at the end of the Parent Handbook (Handbook.pdf). Bring this form and fees (or your PAD agreement) to the Nursery School on March 16 to confirm and hold your spot for the fall. Your confirmation email will advise you of drop-off times for your designated class.

**Please note: spots that have not been confirmed by March 16th will be released to families on the wait-list.

AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION:

3 YR OLD PROGRAM: 

To be eligible to enroll for the 3 year old program, your child must be three (3) years of age by December 31, 2010.   If your child turns 3 between September 1st and December 31st and is experiencing difficulties adjusting to preschool, the teacher may ask you to attend with your child until (s)he turns 3 - this will be determined in consultation with you after Miss Darlene gets to know your child in September.

4 YR OLD PROGRAM: 

To be eligible to enroll for the 4 year old program, your child must be four (4) years old by February 28th, 2011

Please note that all children must be toilet trained (i.e. no diapers or pull-ups).

CLASSROOM TOURS

Rather than an open house, we are happy to offer classroom tours for interested families.  We have some limited opportunities to join the class during "free play time" or you may chose to see the classroom and meet our teacher, Miss Darlene outside of classroom hours.   Please contact Christine (registrar) to set up a convenient time with Miss Darlene, our teacher.
