The Classroom Experience

• We provide a semi-structured, enjoyable time with a qualified, caring teacher supported by parent volunteers.  In 2007/2008, we welcomed a teacher’s assistant into the program
• We offer a balance between child-directed and adult-directed activities, and between free-time and group-time
• We experience and explore Science, Music, Art, Phys-Ed, Drama, Language, Stories and free play.
• We use monthly program themes to enhance the classroom experience (e.g. Dinosaur Days, Colour Days, etc.)
• We enjoy visits from community helpers and fun guests as well as field trips and special events

We have numerous play centres in the classroom: Water Table, Sand Table, Arts & Craft and painting areas, Computer, Gymnasium, Kitchen & Dress Up, Puppet Theatre, Blocks and Building centre and much more!  Our classroom is child friendly, bright, colourful and full of surprises to spark imaginations and play!  We have access to a gymnasium and on warmer days take advantage of the green space surrounding the community association building!
