Teacher - Ms. Jennifer Scheutz

Miss. Jenn was always one of those kids who would consistently play "school" with her younger sister because she loved the idea of being a teacher and sharing everything she knew with anyone and everyone.  As time went on, her love for children and the aspect of teaching, eventually grew into a career.

Originally from Mississauga, Ontario, Miss. Jenn earned a diploma with Honours in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor of Professional Arts degree in Human Services, and has been working in the Early Childhood field for the past seven years.

After working in the childcare setting and being exposed to various ages, ranging from infant to school-age, she decided that her love for teaching was still present, but leaving the early childhood age group was not an option.

In the summer of 2010, Miss. Jenn was hired on at the Glendale Community Preschool as the Preschool Teacher.

Her philosophy is based on three aspects: flexibility, respect, and most of all, fun.  She believes that in order for a child to acquire newly learned knowledge, flexibility needs to exist as a life-lesson can occur in the most unexpected situations.  In order to understand the world and those in it, respect is the first step in gaining the most fundamental aspect about human beings - social interaction.  Lastly, the more fun a child experiences through a learning environment, the higher the chances will be for them to not only be respectable towards the people and the things around them, but the flexibility to accept whatever comes their way, becomes the ultimate satisfaction.
